Strengthening Families Program
This is a free 14 week multi-cultural family skills training program for parents and their children aged 6-12 years.
WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?:
1. Parents and children who wish to increase family bonding, communication and organizational skills.
2. Families who are concerned about family conflict, children’s behaviour, children at risk of drug and alcohol use.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?:
To spend 2 hours, one evening per week, learning new skills.
To be provided with a free and nutritious meal.
Parents: To learn how to use love and limits, encourage good behaviour and protect children from substance abuse.
Children: To learn the importance of appreciating parents, handling peer pressure and following directions.
Transportation, as well as childcare for children under 6 years, is provided free of charge.
