Meaope Transition House
The Transition House program provides short-term support, counselling, safety and shelter to women and their children who are experiencing family violence and personal crisis.
Abuse can be physical, emotional or verbal; abuse is when you are threatened or harmed physically, emotionally, mentally or financially by another individual – this includes sexual abuse and sexual assault.
Meaope Transition House provides 24-hour safe and secure shelter to women who are victims of violence or abuse, and their children. In addition, we provide:
- 24-hour access to services at no charge to you.
- Support and referral to services and agencies in your community.
How to Access the Program
You may access the program 24 hours a day if:
- You are 19 years of age or older; and
- You are a victim of violence or abuse.
